The Academy of Art University's comics instructor, Daniel Cooney (Valentine,The Tommy Gun Dolls, Writing and Illustrating for Comics and Graphic Novels), will conduct one-on-one portfolio reviews, provide critiques, and offer tips for aspiring artists considering applying to the school or submitting work to a comics publisher. Bring a portfolio selection of your best sequential art and character designs to see if you have what it takes to create art as a working professional and learn about the various degree programs for Sequential Art, Animation and Visual Effects, Illustration, Game Development and more.

LEGO Systems, Inc. art director Joe Dinunzio will be reviewing portfolios of illustrators, storyboard, stop motion, comic, and 3D artists as well as copywriters to discover experienced and innovative freelance talent who wish to work on various forms of communication for internal and licensed product lines. Please bring examples of your strongest and most recent work as well as any LEGO-themed/inspired content you have created to show us how you would handle working with the LEGO brand. Lastly, please have a business card with your website/online portfolio and  contact information.

Hermes Press publishes comic books, original graphic novels and reprints of classic comic books and comic strips.   We are interested in seeing portfolios of pencilers, inkers, colorists as well as writers.  We require that any individual requesting us to review their portfolio have published material together with an organized presentation for our consideration.    If you are a pencilers and inker we need to see interior page samples.  Candidates passing the initial review stage will be re-reviewed during the Con at our Booth.

Cartoon Network Studios creates original comedy and action animated content for Cartoon Network such as the hit shows Adventure Time, Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa, Steven Universe, Clarence, and Ben 10: Omniverse. They look for dynamic drawing and visual storytelling skills to fill positions such as storyboard artists, character designers, background painters, and color stylists.
