Katy is currently most known for her portrayal of truth seeker, 'Klue' in Google Earth creator, John Hanke’s groundbreaking global Augmented Reality Game, ‘Ingress’ and has traveled as far as Japan to promote the game.

Katy Townsend ‘The Cheeky Scot’ hails from Glasgow where she unearthed her passion in the theatre world, touring art house productions across Europe.
A devoted artist and now based in LA, Townsend's film credits include playing Catherine Dent's patient, 'Jane' in Academy Award Winner, Ronald Judkins’s indie feature, ‘Finding Neighbors’ (for VOD & dvd), Dean Cain's daughter in B horror flick ‘Kill Katie Malone’ and starring roles in award-winning shorts ‘The New World’ and 'Haircut'. In 2013, Townsend bared all to play mischievous school girl, 'Diane' in the LA theatre production of ‘Trainspotting.’ She has appeared in several television commercials, including in her first ever DeVito/Verdi Super Bowl commercial in 2013. In 2014, Katy produced her first short film, "You & I, My Dear"

This Cheeky Scot has several exciting gigs in the mix for 2015 - Lead roles in 'Hooked' - an upcoming pilot for Joan Jett's company, 'Blackheart Films' and an untitled LGBT Sci-Fi pilot created by the writers of 'The Chronicles of Riddick'. Further, Katy has a bunch of zany & wonderful shorts in the works, including 'Qubitpunk' (Scary Cow Productions), 'The In-Between Years' (with Bryan Williams and Andy Dick) and 'Oh Gallow Lay' (with Marianna Palka and Jason Ritter). Townsend also recently discovered she could talk like a sexy robot and subsequently voiced the computers in Raphael Roger's 'Immersion' coming to Oculus Rift. Plays 'Casey' in offbeat dramedy 'Casey and the Death Pool' (summer 2015) and is set to star in Tim Sanger's upcoming digital age gangster tale, 'Utopian Wares'.

Townsend proudly recorded her second audio book with Penguin Random House, 'The Gracekeepers' by Kirsty Logan will be available June 2015 (Her first book, 'Letters from Skye' earned her an Audiofile Earphones Award) Katy was honored to be chosen by Hachette Book Group as one of the narrators of Irish legend Edna O'Brien's 'The Love Object', now available from Audible!

Katy voices characters in a couple of major games attending SDCC this year (Under NDA) and this will be her first Comic-Con!
